My Plan

Currently my plan is simple, vote NO to any bill that increases the size of the government, vote YES to any bill that reduces government reach and cost.We are at a cross-road in this county and we need to rein in the government involvement in our privates lives.

I have three simple questions for each bill that comes up to vote:

  • How much does it cost?
  • Who is going to pay for it?
  • How does it affect the national security?

For example a bill might come that seeks to reduce funding for the US Military, and while this bill might save billions it would not be in the interest of the national security to do so, so I would have to vote no.

I would also have to vote no on any bill that contained ear-marks, or any bill proposed at the last minute. Lawmakers need time to read and understand the bills that they vote on, and dropping a 1,000+ page bill on my desk a hour or so before the vote is an automatic no-go!

But above all else my plan is to follow the will of the great people of District 4 and to do the job that they elect me to do; work with other members of Congress to reduce the size of government and restore the Constitution to its rightful place at the forefront of government policy.
